Goniopora Coral (Flowerpot Coral)

Goniopora corals, also known as Flowerpot corals, are loved for their long, flowing polyps that look just like underwater flowers. They come in stunning colors like green, red, purple, yellow, and pink, adding beautiful movement and life to any reef tank. Goniopora corals are sensitive to water quality; stable parameters are essential for long-term health and polyp extension.

Care in Aquariums:

• Lighting: Moderate (avoid very intense light, which can cause stress)
• Water Flow: Gentle to moderate; strong flow can damage their delicate polyps
• Placement: Middle to bottom of the tank; ensure enough space to avoid being stung or overgrown by other corals
• Feeding: While Goniopora are photosynthetic, they benefit from regular feeding with zooplankton or small meaty food like copepods.
